Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of InHand CTC at https://inhandctc.in/ (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. The service
InHand CTC provides a free, browser-based educational calculator that estimates Indian CTC to in-hand salary under simplified assumptions for Tax Year 2026–27. Features may change, pause, or end at any time without notice.
2. Eligibility
You should be at least 18 years old to rely on financial or tax-related tools. If you are under 18, use the Site only with a parent or guardian’s guidance.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misrepresent calculator results as official payroll or tax advice
- Attempt to disrupt, scrape excessively, reverse engineer for malware, or overload the Site
- Use the Site for unlawful purposes or to harm others
- Remove branding, copyright notices, or legal notices from the Site
4. No warranty (“as is”)
The Site and all outputs are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that results will match your payslip, Form 16, employer HRIS, or tax return.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators of InHand CTC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its estimates — including decisions about job offers, salary negotiation, tax filing, or investments.
Because the Site is free, our total liability for any claim relating to the Site shall not exceed ₹1,000 (one thousand Indian rupees), except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.
6. Intellectual property
The Site’s design, text, branding, and software are owned by the operators of InHand CTC or their licensors. You may use the calculator for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may not copy the Site as a competing product, rebrand it as official government software, or sell access to it without prior written permission.
7. Third-party services and links
The Site may be hosted on third-party infrastructure (for example GitHub Pages or similar CDNs) and may link to external sites such as government portals. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or policies.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, courts in India shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Site.
